Living On
Living On is a nonprofit organization that provides a path forward for adults who have lost a loved one to suicide.
Support Group Services
Our support group is available at no cost to anyone in the Central Virginia area who has lost someone to suicide at any point in their life and would like to find community with other suicide loss survivors.
Discover ways to navigate grief, find hope, and honor your loved one. Our approach is tailored to facilitate your individual grief journey.
We tell our stories and discuss the emotional complexities of loss by suicide. Express your thoughts and feelings in a confidential, nonjudgmental setting with others who understand.
Living On will begin new sessions as groups are formed and we have new interest within our community.
Each group will consist of no more than six members that will meet for eight consecutive Tuesdays at 6:30 pm at Saint John's Episcopal Church on Elmwood Avenue in Lynchburg.
**Living On is not a replacement for individual counseling or therapy **
Former Participant
“I have found a place where I am able to share the hardest thing that has ever happened to me and to be honest about how I am feeling without fear of judgement or worrying that I will make someone else uncomfortable. I am finding support with others who know the uncertainty of what the next minute, hour, or day will bring but who also want to keep moving forward on the path of healing.”
Former Participant
“This has been a blessing to understand the grief process and feel accepted for where I am.”
